Board of Education Election Results:
Adam Gerke – 590 votes (31%)
Devin Gaspard – 525 votes (27%)
Jamey Kroeger – 414 votes (22%)
Dennis Steele – 391 votes (20%)

Proposition T.I.G.E.R. Results:
Yes – 409 votes (51.3%)
No – 389 votes (48.7%)

As a reminder, Missouri law requires a four-sevenths (57.14%) majority for local school bond measures to pass.

Tonight's soccer match vs Sacred Heart will be played as scheduled with a 5 PM start. We ask that all spectators stay outside the fence with the sidelines still being slightly wet.

Friday night's meet was a very competitive meet. There were 22 schools with very strong track athletes. We came away with 4 PRs, 1 school record, and 1 meet record. Eden Herren got 10th in the High Jump. Kiril Bevzyuk PR'd in Shot Put. The boys 4x200m relay team snagged 4th. Coby Tagtmeyer and Latham Rohrer both got PRs in the 800m run. Coby took first beating the current school record (his) and the meet record with a time of 1:59.14. The boys 4x400 team took 3rd. Tyler Wilson PR'd in the 2 mile run. It was a very competitive and tough meet. Great job Tigers

Smithton juniors had the opportunity to visit University of Missouri - Columbia (MU) for a campus tour! Getting to walk through campus, see the classrooms, and experience the environment firsthand is such a valuable part of the college search process. Finding the right “fit” goes beyond academics—it’s about feeling comfortable, supported, and excited about where you’ll be spending the next few years. Campus visits are one of the best ways for students to picture themselves in a future setting and start narrowing down their options. We’re proud of our students for taking this important step and investing in their future!

Girls Soccer was in Lone Jack on Thursday evening where they came up short. Catch this team in action again Saturday during the Stover Classic Soccer Tournament!

The High School Girls Soccer Team will play tonight at 5:00pm vs Lone Jack at Lone Jack! Go Tigers! 🥅⚽

Last night our Track stars did an awesome job against 19 other schools, many of which were Class 3+ with 8 PR's and a new School Record!!!

In the 100M run, Braden Soverns and Oriana Biggs PR'd, Brooklyn Southard broke the current school record by .02 seconds!!!
Jace Williams came in 10th and PR'd in the 200M
In the 400M, Carter Riley came in 5th and Zane Starke came in 9th with his PR.
Coby Tagtmeyer rocked 3rd place in the 800M and 4th in the 1 Mile
Dakota Wells came in 10th in the 1 Mile
In the 2 Mile, Cameron Schaller and Tyler Wilson raced each other to the finish with Tyler coming in 6th with a PR and Cameron 7th.
Jace Williams got 7th in the 110M Hurdles
4x100M and 4x200M teams came in 10th while the 4x400M team snagged 5th and the 4x800M team came in 4th.

In the field events
Kiril Bevzyuk PR'd in all 3 of his throwing events (Discus, Javelin, and Shot Put).
Landon Eastep PR'd in both of his throwing events (Discus and Javelin)
Jace Williams tied for 9th in the High Jump

Baseball opened up conference play tonight at home VS Stover. The game didn't go our way, but we had some good moments. Cory Pond led the offensive attack with 3 hits and a run scored, Laton Criner added a hit, and Karsen Asbury had a single a 2 RBIs.

The Smithton Tigers track team traveled to Higginsville tonight for the Husker Invitational! Lots of PR's and great performances! Way to compete, Tigers!
