Last week, 34 Smithton Tiger archers competed at the 2025 state competition held at Branson Convention Center along with over 4,000 other archers. Each archer competed in bullseye, 3D or both. In order to shoot at state, archers had to get a qualifying score (set by the state) at a tournament during the season. They started practicing in October in order to be ready for the first tournament held in January. The archers competed in 13 tournaments this year, including the two bullseye/3D ones we held at Smithton. During state, 10 archers were able to shoot their personal best score for the season which is a great accomplishment considering how big the tournament is. Although we did not have any qualifying scores for Nationals, the returning archers are already preparing for next year's goal to get to Nationals in Louisville! We want to wish our three senior archers the best of luck in the future and will most certainly miss them on the team!

The Title Department would like to invite you to participate in the Parent Advisory Committee. The purpose of the Parent Advisory Committee is to review our current Title I, Title II, and Title IV programs and to make recommendations for developing an even more effective Title program for increasing student achievement during the next school year.
In order to accomplish this task, we will review the results of parent surveys and achievement data. We will also look at our School-Parent Compact and the current ways we are spending our Title funds. Please join us to share your input, ideas, and suggestions.
