Exploring Future Careers in Health Care! 🩺
Last week, Smithton students attended the Tomorrow’s Health Care Experts Expo presented by MU Health Care! It was a fun and interactive day filled with hands-on demonstrations in areas like nursing, radiology, respiratory therapy, emergency medicine, surgery, and more.
Students had the chance to talk with professionals, try out real equipment, and get a closer look at the many career paths available in the medical field.
A big thank-you to MU Health Care for hosting such a great learning experience for our future health care professionals! 👏💙
Juniors and Seniors Explore Apprenticeship Opportunities!
Last week several of our Juniors and Seniors attended an Apprenticeship Fair at State Fair Community College. They had the chance to meet with industry professionals, learn about different hands-on career paths, and discover training programs that can lead straight into high-demand careers.

This is a reminder that school will be in session on Monday, November 24th. Thanksgiving break will run from Wednesday, November 26th through Monday, December 1st. Students will return to school on Tuesday, December 2nd.
Please join us as we honor our local heroes at the Veteran's Day celebration on Tuesday, November 11 at 9am in the High School Gym. All veterans and their families are invited to attend. Refreshments will be served to our veterans and their families at the end of the celebration. Cross Country come to a close with seniors Cameron Schaller and Coby Tagtmeyer earning their way to state. They competed against 176 other runners and had a great day on the course!
Homecoming is Jan.16th. Our theme this year is "Tigers take over the World" . Homecoming shirt orders are due December 19th .
State Cross Country Bound!! Seniors Coby Tagtmeyer, and Cameron Schaller qualified this past Saturday and will compete Saturday 11/8 for state. We will send them off with a parade through the halls leaving the building tomorrow at 3:15 PM!
Several Smithton Junior High and High School band members spent the day working with guest conductors and musicians from across the Kaysinger Conference at the annual conference band day in Stover. Thanks to all who participated and helped with this event.

Boys soccer takes the win in the opening round of the class 1 District 5 soccer tournament. 4-3 in overtime defeating Green Ridge. They will play Vs Sacred Heart tonight at 5 PM
