There is nothing quite like the first day of school! Smithton Elementary is off to a great start. Champ camp, team building and lunch made for a pretty great day!! We can't wait to see what this year has in store for us, we know it will be awesome!

The first day of school is in the books! The day started out with a back-to-school assembly for grades 7-12. Our guest speaker, Mr. Jacob Boyd, shared a powerful message with students about overcoming adversity and taking control of their own lives! Students also had an opportunity to visit the club and organization expo to see all that is available for them to get involved in! It sure was great to have students back in the building today! See you tomorrow!

Anticipate fog advisories in the morning and heat advisories in the afternoon to start the year. We are putting precautionary measures in place for all outdoor activities including sports and recess as well as district transportation.
