No plans for supper tonight? Then you are in luck. Come on out for the FFA fish fry in the cafeteria. We are hosting the district basketball tournament so parking will be limited but the bus doors will be open for fish fry customers only.


The Class 2 District 8 Girls Basketball Championship game scheduled to be played at Smithton on Friday night has been moved to Saturday at 4:30 pm due to the uncertainty of road conditions. The boys Championship game will remain at 6:00 pm.

Well…a loss is always hard but one heck of a season boys! A lot to be proud of and many great memories including conference CHAMPS; 20+ wins; a 1000 pt club inductee; and a coach earning over 200 career wins.





Smithton Boys Basketball take on Sacred Heart in the semifinals of the District tournament tonight. Lincoln vs Sweet Springs at 6:00, followed by Smithton and Sacred Heart @ 7:30. Come support the boys as we look to get to another District Championship.

Students, the student Council coffee stand will be open tomorrow and Thursday before school at the concession stand. Hot chocolate $1, coffee $2, specialty coffee $3. Coffee can be hot or iced.

Congratulations to Jarrett Davis for receiving February’s Excellence in Action award. Jarrett is extremely helpful with our district technology and was amazing at streaming sports and activities last year! Thank you Jarrett for your dedication to Smithton School District!

FFA Week Activities Update. Note the ski trip and fish fry have been moved. These are the correct dates.


Do to weather and delivery delays Smithton FFA will be postponing their FFA Fish Fry to Saturday, February 26th from 2PM to 6PM in the cafeteria.


Unfortunately, the Speech meet in Cole Camp for tomorrow has been canceled due to the weather.
However, at this time we are still planning to Host the BB district tournament so come support the girls @ 4. It is a MSHSAA event, so it is $5 at the gate, no exceptions.


The District Basketball Tournament scheduled to start tomorrow is a go. First game will start at 1:00. Smithton girls will play at 4:00. This is a MSHSAA event held at Smithton, meaning all attendees over the age 5 will be charged $5. No Smithton passes accepted.
