Congratulations Helena!🎓

Big congrats to junior Emily Kringle who has been accepted into Mini Medical School!
This is a competitive program, with close to 400 applicants and only 128 students were selected. During this week-long experience, Emily will take part in hands-on learning in areas like anatomy, microbiology, and clinical skills, experience patient-based learning (just like medical students), and connect with current med students and professionals.
We are looking forward to seeing what she takes away from this experience!

Join our team for the 2026–2027 school year as a high school math teacher and make a real impact where it matters most—in the classroom! We’re looking for an educator who can bring math to life, build strong relationships with students, and contribute to a positive, collaborative school culture. You’ll be supported by a dedicated staff, provided with the resources you need to succeed, and given the opportunity to grow professionally. If you’re passionate about helping students think critically, solve problems, and gain confidence in math, we’d love to have you on our team!

We’re proud to give a shoutout to seniors Aubree Huddleston and Cameron Schaller for representing Smithton High School at the Pettis County Rotary Club scholarship awards luncheon!🎉
Aubree competed for the Outstanding Student of Pettis County Scholarship, and Cameron for the Leon Moore Scholarship. While neither walked away with the top award, both earned scholarship dollars to support their next steps after high school—and that’s something to celebrate!
We’re proud of the way they represented Smithton with professionalism, confidence, and class. Their futures are bright, and this is just the beginning. 🖤 💛

Thanks for all those who attended the April BOE meeting or who caught the recording on Facebook! If you weren't able to catch the meeting here is a "snapshot" of what you missed. New members Jamey Kroeger and Adam Gerke (who provided the snapshot) were sworn in for 3 year terms while Devin Gaspard returns for another term.

Celebrate the end of the 2026 School Year with Yearbook Signing Day on May 8th!
