Smithton Boys and Girls Club will be closing at 5:00 pm today.

Due to incoming severe weather, all after school activities have been cancelled for today 4/17/2026. This will include all practices and this evenings dance. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Results from the Smith Cotton Invitational! Great job, Tigers!

Jace Williams, Braden Soverns, and Aaden Foster all PR’d while Brooklyn Southard got 7th and Oriana Biggs got 8th in the 100 meter.
Coby Tagtmeyer got 8th and Braden Soverns PR’d in the 200 meter.
Jace Williams got 6th with a PR and Zane Starke got 8th with a PR in the 400 meter.
Dakota Wells got 5th with a PR and Coby Tagtmeyer got 2nd with a PR and School Record in the 800 meter.
Cameron Schaller came in 2nd in the 1 mile.
Tyler Wilson got 3rd and Cameron Schaller got 4th in the 2 mile.
Aaden Foster PR’d and came in 6th in the 300 hurdles.
The girls came in 3rd and boys came in 6th in the 4x100m relay.
The girls 4x200m relay and the boys 4x400m relay came in 4th.
The boys 4x800m relay team came in 2nd.

Kiril Bevzyuk got 5th in Shot Put, 5th in Discus with a PR, and 7th in Javelin.
Micah Summers got 5th in Discus and Javelin.
Eden Herren jumped into 2nd place in High Jump and Triple Jump with a PR.
Zane Kenyon got 6th in Triple Jump.
Brooklyn Southard placed 3rd with a PR in Long Jump.

Today was a big day for Smithton Seniors! 🎉 We had the opportunity to attend Signing Day at State Fair Community College, and it was so exciting to celebrate students taking the next step toward their future careers. Our seniors are heading into a wide range of programs including nursing, education, criminal justice, business, welding, graphic design, and more — all fields that lead to real-world skills and in-demand careers. The JH Track Meet scheduled for today 4/15 at Smith Cotton has been cancelled due to wet conditions. A reschedule date will be sent out when there is one.

Schedule updates/changes for this week:
Baseball will play at La Monte tomorrow, 4/16 with a 5 PM start time.
The High School track meet at Smith Cotton has been changed from Friday 4/17 to Thursday 4/16. Field events will begin at 2 PM and Running events at 4 PM.

Adam Gerke – 590 votes (31%)
Devin Gaspard – 525 votes (27%)
Jamey Kroeger – 414 votes (22%)
Dennis Steele – 391 votes (20%)

Proposition T.I.G.E.R. Results:
Yes – 409 votes (51.3%)
No – 389 votes (48.7%)

As a reminder, Missouri law requires a four-sevenths (57.14%) majority for local school bond measures to pass.

Tonight's soccer match vs Sacred Heart will be played as scheduled with a 5 PM start. We ask that all spectators stay outside the fence with the sidelines still being slightly wet.

Friday night's meet was a very competitive meet. There were 22 schools with very strong track athletes. We came away with 4 PRs, 1 school record, and 1 meet record. Eden Herren got 10th in the High Jump. Kiril Bevzyuk PR'd in Shot Put. The boys 4x200m relay team snagged 4th. Coby Tagtmeyer and Latham Rohrer both got PRs in the 800m run. Coby took first beating the current school record (his) and the meet record with a time of 1:59.14. The boys 4x400 team took 3rd. Tyler Wilson PR'd in the 2 mile run. It was a very competitive and tough meet. Great job Tigers
