Smithton School Library

According to the American Association of School Librarians, the mission of the school library program is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information; students are empowered to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, and ethical users of information.

Here in the Smithton R-VI Library, we wholeheartedly believe that libraries should be information and creative hubs for learning. We are constantly adding new and noteworthy books to our collection, and, to ensure that all learners have resources tailored to fit their learning needs, we are committed to providing literature in a variety of formats from digital and audiobooks, to online resources, to newspapers and professional tradebooks for staff. Our library also houses a Makerspace and several STEM-related resources including robotics and higher-order thinking games and resources.
